Collage – as we have already mentioned in our first presentation of his work – is the artform for which Sergei Sviatchenko is best known.
In this series of artworks, Sergei has literally reworked the shots that he took for us with pure Close Up and Private style.
The colours of the clean backgrounds, classicism, and inserts that voluntarily throw one off balance.
In Sergei’s own words: “When I first set eyes on the collection, I spontaneously imagined that Ennio Capasa could be interested in the construction and
deconstruction of the garments’ forms. I tried to follow the same procedure, first using the photos to build a series of images, and then moving on to
these collages, in which I deconstructed them”.
